The Lafayette Police Department has announced the Corporal Michael Middlebrook Elementary School Dedication Ceremony Tuesday, February 19th.

Corporal Michael Middlebrook was killed in the line of duty. The renaming of Plantation Elementary will honor his sacrifice and dedication to the community.

“On February 19, 2019 at 10:00 am, the Lafayette Police Department in conjunction with the Lafayette Parish School System and Corporal Michael Middlebrook Elementary will be honoring Cpl. Middlebrook in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the unveiling of the school’s sign and the renaming. The event will take place at Michael Middlebrook Elementary located at 1801 Kaliste Saloom Road.
The media is invited to attend this event as we honor Corporal Middlebrook for his dedication to the community and his ultimate sacrifice.”
