Acadia Parish–
Hwy 91 at the Estherwood Pontoon Bridge is closed to traffic

Calcasieu Parish–

LA 1138-3 (Legion St.) is closed between LA 14 and Interstate 210 in both directions due to high water. DOTD urges the public to use caution while traveling in this vicinity.

UPDATE: RAMP CLOSURES: I-10 AND I-210 CALCASIEU PARISH
DOTD advises the public of the following ramp updates due to high water:
I-10 Westbound Entrance and Exit Ramps at Opelousas Street are OPEN
I-210 Eastbound Exit ramp at Legion Street (Lake Charles) remains CLOSED.
I-210 Westbound Entrance ramp at Legion Street (Lake Charles) is NOW OPEN.

Ravenhurst Rd. (Moss Bluff)
N Perkins Ferry Rd. – barricaded between Gillis Cutoff and Clark Court –  (Moss Bluff)
Walker Rd north of Pete Seay Rd (Sulphur)
Pete Seay Road  (Sulphur)

DOTD advises the public of the following closures due to high water:

  • • I-210 Westbound Ramp at Exit 7 Enterprise Boulevard is OPEN. Interstate 210 Mainline remains OPEN.
  • • I-210 Eastbound Ramp at Exit 7 Enterprise Boulevard is OPEN. Interstate 210 Mainline remains OPEN.
  • • I-210 South Service Road (College Street) between Kirkman Street and 5th Avenue is OPEN.
  • • I-210 South Service Road (College Street) between Lake Street and Earnest Street is OPEN.
  • I-10 Westbound Ramp at Exit 43 LA 383 is CLOSED.
  • I-210 Westbound from mm 6 to mm 7, Ryan St exit ramp EB in Calcasieu Parish

FLOODED ROADS: I-10 Opelousas WB on & off ramps; Opelousas EB off ramp; Enterprise EB off ramp; Enterprise WB on ramp; Belden BOTH ramps.

LCPD… FLOODED ROADS: I-10 Opelousas WB on & off ramps; Opelousas EB off ramp; Enterprise EB off ramp; Enterprise WB on ramp; Belden BOTH ramps.

Lake Charles Police are asking people to stay off the roads unless you have an emergency.

Cameron Parish—

Cameron II Ferry has returned to service, intermittent closures may be experienced due to high tides.
DOTD is monitoring conditions and will inform public as necessary.
DOTD urges the public to use caution when traveling today and be alert to the potential for high water.

Iberia Parish-
From Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office: Some streets in New Iberia which are holding water.  Motorists should exercise extreme caution when traveling on flooded streets.  Drivers who operate their vehicles in these areas and cause damage to homes and businesses will be arrested. We have had several complaints about drivers in jacked up pick-ups speeding in these areas.

The Lafayette Bayou Vermilion District admonishes the public to stay off of the Vermilion River. The river is nearing flood stage, which is 10 feet, and is expected to increase. In fact, due to continuous rain conditions, it will remain above flood stage for the foreseeable future. During this time, only emergency operations should be conducted on the Vermilion until it returns below flood stage.

Freshwater City – LA 3147 – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the pontoon bridge at the Humble Canal may need to be closed to vehicular traffic due to Hurricane Harvey storm surge. This closure is anticipated to take place sometime early Saturday morning. Water levels will be monitored and closure will take place if necessary and will remain closed until water levels recede.
