Tickets are on sale now for the third play in Cité des Arts’ Readers Theater Series focusing on plays from the classical theater.  The third play in the Cite des Arts Readers Theater Series will be a reading of  “Pericles, Prince of Tyre,”  by George Wilkins & William Shakespeare, and directed by Joe Riehl.  The presentation will take place on Thursday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m., at Cité des Arts, 109 Vine Street in downtown Lafayette.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at https://www.citedesarts.org/events/cite-des-arts-readers-theater-pericles-prince-of-tyre.

The new Cite des Arts Readers Theater Series is designed to bring plays from the classical theater to the contemporary audience in a fun, relaxed, and accessible manner.  With a cast of very talented local actors, it is the goal of the series to educate and inspire our audiences.  To dispel the idea that these plays are inaccessible or meant only for academics.  The plays in the series were written for the masses and still reverberate in our modern times.
