The group is composed of namesake Louis Michot (Lost Bayou Ramblers) on fiddle & vocals, plus fellow Ramblers Bryan Webre on bass & drum pad and Kirkland Middleton drums & drum pad. Their repertoire is composed of Louisiana-French fiddle tunes – some pre-accordion repertoire, and some songs that aren’t tonally viable on accordion. Many numbers stem from the canons of Louis’ biggest local influences: Leo Soileau, Dennis McGee, Harry Choates. All three fronted bands without accordions, while supporting other performers in outfits featuring accordion.
