Fall Lineup of the Mercredi Show

The Return of Swamp Pop, Cajun, Country Favorites
Carencro PARC announces the fall lineup of the Mercredi Show featuring
Country, Swamp Pop, and Cajun Favorites. The Season kicks off September 5th with local fan favorite Dustin
Sonnier and the Wanted, followed September 12th by Nik-L-Beer Band, September 19th will feature a
Mercredi debut by the ensemble band Stop the Clock, that features many seasoned musicians from the
Acadiana area, September 26th Blaine Roy and Second Wind will perform, making his return to the
Mercredi stage after several years of absence, Damon Troy and Louisiana Beat, Wednesday October 3rd. A
mainstay over the years at the Mercredi Show has been Swamp Pop, Warren Storm and Willie Tee and the
Cypress Band will be performing October 10th and Wrapping up the fall session of Mercredi will be Jamie
Bergeron and the Kickin Cajuns.
Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin’ Cajuns have been one of the top draws in the history of the Mercredi Show,
PARC Commission members are excited about the blockbuster lineup that is going to be presented. PARC
Commission members are also excited about the overall excitement of the performers that have shown an
interest in playing the Mercredi Show.
Chairman Tom Meyers said “ It is getting harder and harder to book only seven bands
when you have 40-50 qualified bands that are willing to play each and every season. I
applaud the Commission Members in their diligence in listening to the community as
to which bands are wanted. ”
The Mercredi Show is a weekly performance held every fall and spring at Carencro’s Pelican Park
Concert Stage. The Community of Carencro and Acadiana is invited to come listen or dance to
great music.
