Fox News is reporting that a “no climb” fence will be installed around the White House in anticipation of Election Day unrest.
A similar fence already exists for Inauguration Day construction, but a new “no climb” fence will be installed around the entire complex. The White House had similar fencing installed during the unrest and riots that occurred over the death of George Floyd.
On Thursday, DC Metro Police Chief Peter Newsham said there were no credible threats at that time.
Businesses blocks away from the White House have already begun boarding up with plywood to protect their windows and are expecting to close on Election Day and possibly the entire week.
