Many memebers have come and gone since 1970, but the two distinct sounds of The Doobie Brothers are coming together for a 50th Anniversary Tour in 2020. Tom Johnston and Michael McDonald, along with founding member Pat Simmons and longtime member John McFee will tour together for the first time in nearly 25 years.
The tour will be in Houston on October 10th, 2020 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
The Doobie Brothers formed in California in 1970 and their first studio album was released in 1971. The band is on the ballot as a possible 2020 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame class of 2020 will be announced in January.
