The Cars member Ric Ocasek was found dead on September 15th in his New York City apartment. Police were called to Ocasek’s residence where he was found unresponsive by his estranged wife, Paulina Porizkova and pronounced dead on scene. Ric was 75 years old.
As for the cause of Ric Ocasek’s death, The New York Daily News reporterted,
Cars frontman Ric Ocasek died from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, the city’s medical examiner said Monday.
Pulmonary emphysema was also a contributing factor in the 75-year-old singer’s death, the medical examiner added.
