92 year-old former Governor Edwin W. Edwards was taken to a hospital Tuesday morning after he became unresponsive.
The four-term governor was transported via ambulance to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was described as lucid at the hospital after receiving an IV while doctors checked his heart. Edwards had a bypass surgery in 1996.
