A spokesperson for Buffalo Wild Wings has issued an apology for a tweet that angered some Saints fans after another bad call went against the New Orleans team in their game Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
The original tweet said,
“New Orleans fans already drawing up lawsuits.”
The reference was to a past lawsuit that was filed on behalf of Saints fans after an egregious “no-call” during the NFC Championship Game. In the email apology, the spokesperson explained that the tweet was not meant to offend.
“We intended to point out another bad call in a fun way. In fact, our Director of Social Media is a die-hard Saints fan who attended the NFC Championship game earlier this year.”
The apology continued to explain that the tweet was intended as a sympathetic joke, not a slight.
