KFC employees in North Carolina smelled gas before locking up for the night. The manager turned the nozzle off, called the gas company, and reported the odor. No one was hurt in the explosion that was caught on a neighboring drug store’s surveillance camera. Eden police are investigating the cause of the explosion.
KFC Officials released the following statement.
“We are devastated by this incident, but most importantly we are grateful that all of our restaurant team members are safe and no one was injured. We would like to thank the Eden police and fire crews, for their response and continued support. We are cooperating directly with the investigating agencies as they work to determine the cause.”
