Effort to Change Name of UL Baseball Stadium from Russo Park to Robichaux Park

During his 25 seasons at the helm of Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball, Tony Robichaux had many accomplishments on and off the field. His legacy will be eternal, but some fans are hoping that a name change will take place to the stadium before the first pitch of the 2020 season.

There is a facebook page called “Tony Robichaux Park“, created to spread the message and grow support for the idea.

Chris Russo and the Russo family have been incredible supporters of the baseball program. A large donation was made to the program a few years ago. This contribution was a major reason that the new stadium was built. This donation also secured the naming rights of the stadium to be “Russo Park“.

Maybe the Russo family and the university can come to an agreement to rename the park in Coach Robe’s honor while naming something for the family.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
