Ragin Cajun Baseball Junior Todd Lott was the first Ragin Cajun selected during the 2019 MLB Draft after he was taken in the ninth round by the St Louis Cardinals. With his selection, the Ragin Cajun Baseball team has now had at least one player selected in the draft in each year of the Tony Robichaux era. Lott becomes the 67th player to have been drafted under Robichaux.
Lott hit .332 this year and had 48 RBI’s. He also hit 7 homers. His performance garnered him First Team All-Sun Belt honors. Lott’s career stats at Louisiana were .296 with 73 RBI’s and 31 extra base hits. Lott was drafted out of high school, but chose to play for the Cajuns. He was drafted by the Reds in high school in the 20th round.
