According to Deadline, ‘Punky Brewster’ will be returning to television.

‘Punky Brewster‘ was an NBC television series in the 1980’s that launched Soleil Moon Frye into stardom. The show, created by David W. Duclon, was about a young girl raised by a foster dad and tackled several contemporary social topics. The new series will bring back Frye as Punky, now a single mother of three who meets a child that reminds her a lot of her younger self.
