Professional golfer, Clement Berardo, was 10 over par after 15-holes when he ran out of balls.
Meet Clement Berardo. He was DQ’d from a Challenge Tour event today for––wait for it––running out of golf balls. He was 10 over thru 15 holes. pic.twitter.com/QDrcoV1yZK
According to policy, a player is allowed to borrow balls from another player, but they must be the exact same type and brand. Berardo wasn’t able to do that and just had to walk back to the clubhouse. He was disqualified. Berardo is ranked 1,909th in the world.
A similar thing almost occurred with Tiger Woods at Pebble Beach during the 2000 U.S. Open when Tiger left some golf balls at the hotel, but he was able to finish the course with his final one.
