The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office says a plane crashed on a levee of the Atchafalya Basin Wednesday afternoon. (June 12, 2019). Two people have been confirmed dead. The crash occurred just after noon.
The FAA has released a statement:
“A single-engine Quicksilver Ultralight crashed around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday on a levee of the Atchafalaya Basin outside Opelousas, La. The aircraft was carrying two people.”
