In evidence released during a detention hearing for Holden Matthews, the man accused of burning several churches in St. Landry Parish, the suspect apparently made album covers with pictures of the burning churches.
Photos of the fires were found on Matthews’ phone, according to evidence presented in the hearing. Prosecutors also displayed album covers for Matthews’ one-man-band. A picture of a burning church is in the background while Matthews, albeit super-imposed, is in the foreground holding a knife with the words “Pagan Carnage” displayed. Matthews’ pleaded not guilty and his attorney noted that the suspect is not actually in view in any of the pictures taken of the burning churches.
