A man was arrested yesterday after he drove his motorcycle into the New Iberia Walmart.
A New Iberia Police Department spokesman said the man drove his bike about 50 feet into the Wal Mart located on Admiral Doyle Drive.
According to witnesses, the motorcyclist nearly hit customers as he drove through the store and people were screaming and running.
The spokesman also said the man is in custody and has been taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
