MySpace Lost 12 Years Worth of Audio, Video, and Photos

MySpace just announced that they lost 12 years’ worth of audio, video, and photos due to a botched “server migration project.”

To break it down, that’s all the stuff you posted between 2003 and 2015!

We all remember MySpace right?  The early days of  ‘bathroom’ selfies, thanking people for adding you, finding the perfect wallpaper, deciding who to add as your Top 8, and of course choosing your Profile Song!  Believe it or not, there were people still using MySpace.

Remember a year ago, when the music links on the site stopped working?  MySpace insisted that they were working on it, but now, they’ve admitted it’s all been deleted.   12 years of data – gone!

MySpace said, quote, “As a result of a server migration project, any photos, videos, and audio files you uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available on or from MySpace.  We apologize for the inconvenience.”

This applies to about 50 million MP3 files and what could be an even larger number of photos and videos.
