58-year-old Russell Cohen is a substitute driving instructor in Long Island, New York. On Saturday morning, he showed up drunk for a driving lesson with 4 teenagers. The teens said Russell kept making comments on how pretty 2 of the girls were. He had one drive them to a diner where he said he’d buy them food, but he came back empty handed. Then, Cohen insisted that he drive. He promptly hit a curb at 50-mph before the students had him pull into a McDonald’s parking lot. They claimed they were going to get food, but they went inside and had the manager call 9-1-1.
SCPD
Cohen sped off before the cops got there, but he didn’t get far. He rear-ended another car while trying to make his getaway and is now facing charges for aggravated driving while intoxicated, plus multiple accounts of endangering the welfare of a child.
