Good News, UL Research monkey was found! The monkey went missing on Saturday from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette New Iberia Research Center, according to university officials. An admin for the UL-Lafayette Facebook page, said the monkey was missing due to a cage failure on Saturday.

The young monkey that escaped from the facility on Saturday has been captured. The monkey was captured in New Iberia after being spotted on Admiral Doyle drive. The monkey was previously sighted Sunday morning near the New Iberia SugArena before fleeing to a nearby wooded area.
