Hit the Road with Hospice of Acadiana Raffle is back and ready to help you find your next great adventure! Your purchase of a $20 ticket provides you a chance to win a 2023 Hyundai Elantra, a 2023 Rockwood Geo Pro Camper, or 2 Roundtrip Domestic Airline tickets and a $500 Visa gift card.

Tickets can be purchased online, or in person at Hospice of Acadiana, Sterling Automotive Dealerships, and Gauthiers’ RV Center. The raffle runs through Sunday, May 28^th, with a live drawing on Facebook on June 1^st at 6:30 pm.

This is Hospice of Acadiana’s largest fundraising event of the year! Proceeds from the raffle go to support all of the unreimbursed care and support services Hospice of Acadiana provides to its patients and the community. Don’t miss your chance to support Acadiana’s only non-profit hospice or to win your next great adventure!

This is the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam war. The US was in turmoil and these heroes were not honored-they were ostracized and even spit upon when they came home.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is working with the Vietnam50 Commission on correcting that.

We are excited about Col. Charles DeBellevue being our guest speaker.

Col. DeBellevue is from Crowley, graduated from USL and is a true hero. He is credited with downing 6 enemy fighters-the most of anyone in the war. 2 in 2 minutes!

At this event, every Vietnam Veteran or surviving spouse will be recognized and receive a lapel pin in recognition of their service as well as a proclamation from the President.

It is May 3rd at 1:30pm at the Robicheaux Center, open to the public and we really want to encourage everyone to come out and bring a Vietnam Vet and give these heroes the welcome home they deserve!

The Galvez Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution is a patriotic organization that is committed to promoting patriotism, education and preservation.
