Cité des Arts is thrilled to offer a summer filmmaking workshop! This two-week crash course in moviemaking is open to aspiring directors, writers, editors, and dreamers in grades 6-12. Running Monday through Friday from June 30th to July 11th, 1 PM - 3 PM, at Cité des Arts, 109 Vine Street in downtown Lafayette, students will get a hands-on introduction to the art of filmmaking. By the end of the workshop, the group will collaborate to produce their very own original short film. Then, it’s time for the big silver screen! The finished movie will premiere at Cité des Arts with a special screening for friends, family, popcorn, and applause. The fee for “Movie Magic 101” is $330 for the course.
