$10,000 BIG Easy Money Giveaway Official Rules
CONTEST: Beginning April 24th, 2017 and running through at least May 16th, 2017, BIG 102.1 will conduct the “$10,000 BIG easy Money Giveaway” Contest. During the contest period, participants will be given the opportunity to listen and win cash.
PRIZE WINNER SELECTION: At 7:15am or shortly thereafter each weekday of the contest period (excluding major holidays), BIG 102.1 announcers will notify listeners of the hours in which the cash giveaways will happen for that particular day. During the announced hours, a “sounder” will play, prompting listeners to call 337-406-1021 (the contest line). When the sounder plays, caller number 9 at 337-406-1021 will win a predetermined amount of “cash”.
PRIZE(S): Each contest prize will be no less than $100 and no more than $500. All winners are responsible for reporting and paying taxes on prizes received. ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning will vary based on the number of contest participants.
RESTRICTIONS: Participants must be 18 years or older to be eligible to qualify for or win this contest. Participants must be residents of Louisiana.
ELIGIBILITY: Employees and immediate family members and household members of KYBG, Broadcast Partners Inc. and employees of all other media outlets are not eligible to enter. (The term “immediate family” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and cohabitating significant others.) BIG 102.1 reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who is financed, aided, encouraged or prompted by an employee or family member of any radio subsidiary within 100 miles of Lafayette, LA. BIG 102.1 reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if BIG 102.1 deems the contest rules were not followed. BIG 102.1 contests are void when and where prohibited by law.
FUFILLMENT: All prizes awarded through BIG 102.1 are non-transferable nor may a prize be substituted at the request of a contest winner, nor may a prize be substituted for cash.
The prize indicated by station personnel to be won in a contest is the only prize awarded and given only to the person who is designated as the winner. BIG 102.1 reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event specified prize offered is unavailable.
All prizes awarded by BIG 102.1 must be claimed within 30 days of the date the prize was won. If a winner does not claim his/her prize within the 30 day period, the prize is forfeited and eligibility restrictions mentioned in these rules still apply to that winner for future contests. Winners receiving a check as a contest prize must cash the check within 120 days from the date of issue. Checks will be mailed to winners within 30 days of the date of winning.
All checks will be voided after 120 days from the date of issue and will not be reissued. All prizes designated for pick up at the BIG 102.1 studios must be picked up during regular business hours at 123 E. 3rd Street, Second Floor, Crowley, LA. If a prize winner forfeits a prize for any reason, the winner may be required to sign a release to that effect and will have no further claim to the prize. In the event of that situation, the prize remains in possession of BIG 102.1 and may be awarded to another participant at the sole discretion of BIG 102.1.
RELEASE: BIG 102.1 and / or sponsor participating in a contest on BIG 102.1 may require a release form to be completed by the winner. Upon accepting any contest prize from BIG 102.1 or sponsor participating in a contest on BIG 102.1, the winner and individual accompanying the winner releases BIG 102.1 and any and all sponsors of any liability or further claims. BIG 102.1 may use voice recordings to prevent contest fraud.
BIG 102.1 and all sponsoring entities are not responsible for any lost, late, misdirected, stolen, incomplete entries, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. BIG 102.1 and all sponsoring entities are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this contest, or any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions for this contest. BIG 102.1 and all sponsoring entities assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, accidental deletion of or alteration of, entries. BIG 102.1 and all sponsoring entities are not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, or software. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of BIG 102.1 which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, BIG 102.1 reserves the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest and select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the cancellation. Participants may experience a delay between the on-air transmission and on-line stream. BIG 102.1 and all sponsoring entities are not responsible for missed “cue to call” opportunities caused by this delay. Individuals participating in this contest promoted on or entered thru the BIG 102.1 fan page on Facebook release Facebook of any liability or further claims. Participants also acknowledge that this contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Information collected by BIG 102.1 for entry into this contest is not provided to Facebook. Participants found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this contest, or whom BIG 102.1 and all sponsoring entities believe to be causing malfunction, error, disruption or damage will be disqualified. All entrants agree to grant BIG 102.1 unlimited use of their name, voice, picture, quotation or facsimile, without consideration, in conjunction with their participation in any given contest. BIG 102.1 and all sponsoring entities are not liable or responsible for event cancellations/postponements. Participation in this contest constitutes acceptance of all applicable rules.
IDENTIFICATION: In order for a winner to claim a prize, BIG 102.1 may require picture identification. BIG 102.1 may require any or all of the following: driver’s license, state ID, passport and / or birth certificate. BIG 102.1 reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented. BIG 102.1 requires a contestant to truthfully respond with all pertinent information it deems necessary for station records including but not restricted to legal name, address, telephone number, birth date and social security number. BIG 102.1 may disqualify a contestant immediately upon learning the contestant has responded with false information. BIG 102.1 will not distribute or sell information gathered as a part of this contest to another party without prior notification.
CHANGE: With regard to this or any of its other contests, BIG 102.1, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to 1) change the applicable rules and/or procedures, and 2) change the applicable dates and/or duration. In the event of any dispute pertaining to this contest, the decision of BIG 102.1 management is final.
