Acadiana Symphony Orchestra announced this past week that season tickets are on sale now for its 39th season, Reflections. Season 39 will include appearance by Marc Broussard, Placido Domino, Jr, Elizabeth Pitcairn, along with three large scale pop productions.

According to the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, this seasons theme, Reflections, is a sentimental look back at where we’ve been as a Symphony, as individuals, as a community, and as the world. It’s an exploration of the warm nostalgia we often feel for eras gone by in our lives – unique to each of us – where memories of some of our happiest moments exist, somewhere between the realms of myth and actuality.

Along with an amazing lineup of performances this season will also include another screening of a blockbuster film, performed with live orchestral soundtrack by the Symphony, a night of Eagles greatest hits, and a Christmas concert.

The Listening Room Chamber Music Series is also returning for its second year and the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra will work in collaboration with Acadiana Center for the Arts.

ASO Executive Director, Dana Baker said, “we’ve come a long way since the pandemic, and when I reflect back on all that we’ve overcome, I’m optimistic about everything yet to come!” She continued, “each year, we strive to inspire excitement and interest in classical music among new audiences, by offering people alternative ways to engage with the genre, and incorporating popular music and contemporary guest artists. Season 39 features our most diverse offering of concerts yet, which I hope will cultivate new fans, while continuing to appeal to our loyal fanbase.”
