Auburn gymnast Samantha Cerio suffered a gruesome injury during a regional event where both her legs bent backwards at the knees. Nothing broke, but she did dislocate both knees and suffer multiple torn ligaments and now officially retired from the sport.

The super-gruesome injury happened Friday at an NCAA gymnastics regional event at LSU. Samantha Cerio came down after a double handspring and both her legs bent backwards at the knees. At first, people thought she’d broken both her legs, but it is now know she dislocated both knees.
