Proposals happen a lot in New York, especially during the Holiday Season. On Friday, a couple was walking through Times Square, when the guy got down on one knee to propose. In his excitement, he fumbled the ring and it fell down a sewer grate.
The future bride and groom asked police for help finding the ring, but no one could spot it, so the couple left. The next day, NYPD went back in and managed to find the ring buried in mud, but didn’t have the couple’s contact info.
Police asked via social media, “Our special operations officers worked hard to rescue it and would like to return it to the happy couple,” police said in a statement. “Can you help us find them?” No worries, social media delivered, and the couple was identified as John and Daniella.
