Disney’s California parks are set to undergo a major expansion, approved by the Anaheim City Council, that will see Disney investing at least US$1.9 billion over the next decade to create more immersive experiences for guests. The plan includes transforming the 490-acre campus to feature attractions from popular Disney movies like “Frozen” and “Zootopia.” The expansion aims to enhance the guest experience by adding new rides and entertainment options. While some concerns were raised about Disney’s plans to privatize a city street, the company has conducted community outreach for three years and is committed to bringing the next level of immersive entertainment to Anaheim.
