Warner Bros’ film “Wonka” starring Timothee Chalamet had a strong second weekend at the UK-Ireland box office, earning £6.4 million and falling just 28.5%. The film has now made a total of £18.5 million and has the potential to become one of the top-grossing releases of 2023. Another film, “Godzilla Minus One,” took in £785,532 in its opening weekend, and “The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes” continues to perform well with a total of £15.9 million. Overall, the top five films at the box office earned a total of £8.8 million, and the Christmas break is expected to bring in decent holds and the release of “Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom.”
