Peacock has renewed its true crime satire series, Based on a True Story, for a second season. The show, starring Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, premiered on the NBCUniversal streamer over the summer and has been a hit with critics and viewers alike. Cuoco also serves as an executive producer on the series. There is no word yet on when the second season will be released or when production will begin.
