Janet and Michael Jackson’s 1995 “Scream” video was one of the most expensive to make.
During an interview with Allure, Janet described what it was like to make the video with her brother that came with a $7 million price tag.
“It was supposed to only be like a two-day shoot. It wound up being seven days. Yeah, it was a $7 million video — I didn’t have to pay, Mike did,” Janet laughed.
The black and white video had a futuristic theme where Janet and Michael danced side by side and included some unique camera tricks.
“Scream” was Michael hitting back at critics who, at the time, were accusing him of child molestation.
“He was very upset and very angry and he had so much pent up in him that he wanted to get out and say.”
For Janet, the song was a way to show that she had his back like she had since she was a kid.
