The country touring world has suffered a huge loss with the death of Randy “Baja” Fletcher.
The production manager worked with Waylon Jennings, Brooks & Dunn, Randy Travis, ZZ Top, and Keith Urban.
For the past ten years, Fletcher worked with Urban and it was during his concert at Bash on the Bay in Put In Bay, Ohio where he injured himself while setting up for the event. Fletcher was honored in 2017 by the Country Music Association with the inaugural CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2018 he was named production manager of the year.
Many artists gave statements regarding Fletcher’s hard work and dedication,
“…this man truly did love people, music, and life, and he lived it right. He saw the commonality in all of us and I can promise you this, once you’d been in the orbit of his light, he’d stay with you forever,” Urban told Billboard.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Randy Fletcher’s family, friends, touring family.
