David Allan Coe Discharged From Hospital After Battling COVID-19

Legendary singer/songwriter David Allan Coe was discharged from the hospital after battling COVID-19.

 
 

The 82-year-old outlaw country singer went into the hospital in late August after testing positive for the Coronavirus causing him to postpone several tour dates.  Coe’s wife also tested positive for COVID, but recovered quickly and has been by her husband’s side assisting in his recovery.

“David is still in the hospital and is in stable condition while continuing to be treated for COVID-19. His oxygen levels are improving along with this hemodynamics, and he is continuously being monitored by hospital staff,” Kimberly posted on Facebook on September 1st.

 
 

In another Facebook update on September 7th, a day after Coe’s birthday, Kimberly noted he had improved and thanked fans for prayers and birthday wishes. Coe is currently continuing to recover at home while still on oxygen.

 
 

On September 21, SavingCountryMusic.com announced that Coe had defeated COVID-19 and has been discharged from the hospital.
