Neuralink Releases Video of Monkey Playing Pong with Its Mind

Elon Musk’s Neuralink has released a video of a monkey playing video games with its brain.

Neuralink manufacturers a device that is implanted into the brain and allows signals from the brain to control things outside of the body.  The focus of the technology is to allow humans with certain disabilities, such as paralysis, to interact with computers and other devices in ways they wouldn’t physically be able to do.

Months ago, creator Elon Musk claimed that Neuralink was successful in having a monkey play a video game using his brain instead of a controller.  The company has finally released the video.

In the video below, Pager, a nine-year-old Macaque, plays different games, including the video game ‘Pong‘ while the narrator explains the technology.

Neuralink co-founder, Max Hodak recently announced that the company also has the technology to create a real-life “Jurassic Park.”

“We could probably build Jurassic Park if we wanted to,” Max Hodak tweeted Saturday. “Wouldn’t be genetically authentic dinosaurs but [shrugging emoji]. Maybe 15 years of breeding + engineering to get super exotic novel species.”
