Police Bust Woman Eating Lobster While Driving

The Thomasville Times Enterprise newspaper says the Thomasville, Georgia police recently arrested a woman after allegedly eating a lobster while driving.

An officer stopped Shekila Smith after she allegedly made a wide turn and looked distracted. The officer immediately smelled air freshener and lobster.

Smith told the officer that she was eating lobster because she had just gotten off work and was starving.  It’s not illegal to eat when driving, but cops can issue you a ticket for distracted driving if they determine it disrupts your ability to drive safely.

Police say the officer also found marijuana in the car. Smith was charged with failure to maintain her lane and arrested for possession with intent to distribute.
