The Texas Department Of Public Safety has apologized after an Amber Alert was issued featuring the ‘Chucky’ doll from the horror movie “Child’s Play.”
The emergency alert was sent out Friday, January 29, 2021, and included the infamous character along with its fictional son doll, ‘Glen Ray.’

The alert was a test using the fictional characters and descriptions as placeholders and was not meant to be issued to the public.
“Thank you for contacting us. This was actually a test we were running on a dev server and it accidentally went out,” Ruben Medina of DPS told Houston’s KPRC-TV. “We appreciate you reaching out to us to verify this. We do apologize for this inconvenience (to) you.”
“Child’s Play” debuted in 1988 where the spirit of a murderer possesses a toy doll.
