The North Face Refuses to Make Jackets for Oil & Gas Company

Innovex CEO Adam Anderson says The North Face has refused to make an order of jackets for the Houston-based oil and gas company.

According to CBS 7 in Odessa, Texas, Anderson says the company ordered the jackets as a Christmas gift for its employees.  The North Face jackets were to display an Innovex company logo.  Anderson says the order was denied because The North Face doesn’t want to support the oil and gas industry.

“They told us we did not meet their brand standards,” Anderson said. “We were separately informed that what that really meant is was that we were an oil and gas company.” – Anderson told CBS 7.

Anderson responded with a 4-page letter about the importance of the oil and gas industry.  The North Face has not responded to several attempts at contact.

Innovex ordered jackets through a different company.
