The Denver Broncos were in quite a pickle on Sunday when all of the quarterbacks on their roster were ineligible to play due to COVID-19 protocol. In came Kendall Hinton, a practice string Wide Receiver who played QB at Wake Forest.
As you can imagine, Hinton wasn’t very successful coming in on such short notice. He went 1/9 for 13 yards and 2 INTs with a passer rating of 0.0 against one of the best defenses in the league fielded by the now 9-2 New Orleans Saints.
In a classy move, a couple of Saints defenders tweeted their respect for Hinton:
The Saints have had a bit of a situation at quarterback on their own with future NFL Hall of Famer Drew Brees sidelined with 11 broken ribs and a punctured lung. New Orleans will play the Atlanta Falcons at noon this Sunday in the second meeting between the teams. The Saints won the first matchup 24-9.
