A Florida man was recently arrested for allegedly stealing a utility pole and strapping it to the top of his car.
According to police, 71-year-old Douglas Allen Hatley stole a downed power pole and affixed it to the roof of his car. Hatley allegedly drove it to a recycling facility where he was turned away for not having the proper documentation for the pole.
Hatley was charged with grand theft.
