The Weather Channel did another fantastic job of coverage as Hurricane Zeta bashed the gulf coast on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, during some of their past storm coverage, some Weather Channel reporters have developed a notorious history of over-selling the strength of the wind on camera.
That once again seemed to be the case here as Twitter user Nathan Crace caught one reporter leaning into the wind in downtown New Orleans. When a local walks by without any problems, the reporter stands normally and the camera operator begins filming buildings.
Busted again: Weather Channel meteorologist is “leaning into the wind” in downtown New Orleans when a local strolls by and heckles him. He suddenly stands upright as the camera pans up to the buildings until the man leaves—then he pitches to Jim Cantore in Biloxi. pic.twitter.com/VF33Djidzk

In another video, a reporter can be seen adjusting his stance when he thinks the camera is no longer rolling.
Now I feel sorry for Paul Goodloe. Just before this, he was leaning a good 30°into the wind. Then somebody must yell “cut” in his earpiece, but he doesn’t know the camera is still rolling. He just stands up, checks his watch, and strolls off screen. Why do all this? To what end? pic.twitter.com/1Ls9ugvSHx
