Check out this video from NBC Los Angeles that shows a driver stop to refuel in the middle of a police chase.
The suspect allegedly shoplifted from a Home Depot in Glendora, California, then sped off when the cops arrived. At one point, the guy pulled into a gas station to fuel up and even ran into the station to pay.

He was able to get a little bit of gas and take off again before the police could get there. He drove for more than an hour after that until he finally pulled into a parking garage near downtown Los Angeles and fled on foot. There’s no word on if the cops ever apprehended him.
