Effective Today September 3, 2020 the Jefferson Davis Parish curfew will be in effect from 10:00 pm til sunrise. Businesses are starting to open and Sheriff Woods wants to provide people with time to obtain supplies and pick up food for their families. We are seeing more people return to the area to check on there homes and make repairs. The curfew is in place to minimize traffic interfering with the Electrical workers repairing power lines and to aid law enforcement in protecting homes and businesses from damage or looting.
Sheriff Woods also would remind citizens that barricades are up on some roadways in the parish due to power lines and debris on the roadway. They were placed there for your protection and to provide a safe work area for the utilities workers. DO NOT DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES!
