Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Sentenced in College Admissions Scandal

Two of the highest-profile defendants in the college admissions scandal were sentenced on Friday.

Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were sentenced in the case that exposed the rich and famous paying money to cheat their kids’ way into the country’s most prestigious colleges and universities.

“I made an awful decision. I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process and in doing so I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass,” she said. “I have great faith in God and I believe in redemption and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good,” Loughlin said as she addressed the judge.

Loughlin, the actress most well-known for playing Aunt Becky on the sitcom “Full House” was sentenced to 2 months.  Her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, was sentenced to 5 months.  Both sentences are in line with the terms of their plea deal.
