Chicago Restaurant Sells $350 PB&J Sandwich

A restaurant in Chicago is selling the world’s most expensive peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Brothers Matthew and Josh McCahill just took one of the simplest, most affordable lunches and turned it into one of the world’s most expensive.  The brothers opened the new West Loop PB&J restaurant, which actually stands for Pizza, Beer & Jukebox.

The McCahills were inspired to create the $350 sandwich after stumbling across a $200 peanut butter and jelly sandwich that only featured a gold toothpick.  The brothers decided to top that sandwich by creating “The Golden Goose.”

The sandwich has gold dust baked into the flour and an edible gold leaf topping.  It also uses expensive all-natural peanut butter, imported honey from New Zealand, and a redcurrant jam from France that’s “hand-seeded using goose quills.”

The restaurant also sells a regular PB&J made on Wonder Bread with regular peanut butter and grape jelly for $5.
