Target has announced that it will close on Thanksgiving Day 2020.
The change comes among other coronavirus-related adjustments as the company prepares for the often overcrowded holiday shopping season. Target will be closed on Thanksgiving but will begin to offer deals and its “lowest prices of the year” a month earlier to ease the stress of large crowds during the holiday rush.
“Let’s face it: Historically, deal hunting and holiday shopping can mean crowded events, and this isn’t a year for crowds,” Target said. “That’s why our biggest holiday deals will be available earlier than ever, so you can shop safely and conveniently without worrying about missing out on deals that usually come later in the season.”
