Lafayette Consolidated Government is inviting the public to submit proposals for the operation and maintenance of four of LCG’s recreation centers.
On July 17, Mayor-President Josh Guillory announced plans to close 4 recreation centers due to budget concerns. The four centers selected for closure were Domingue Recreation Center, Heymann Park Recreation Center, Carlton James Activity Center, and the George Bowles Activity Center.
After community backlash and an open letter written by the Democrat Party of Lafayette, LCG has invited the public to submit proposals for the operation and maintenance of the recreation centers.
Proposals must be submitted to LCG by the close of business on Monday, August 11.
