Florida Teen Accused of Being ‘Mastermind” Behind High-Profile Twitter Hack

A Florida teen has been accused of being the “mastermind” behind a Twitter hack that affected numerous high-profile accounts.

17-year-old Graham Clark is in jail after authorities say he’s responsible for a Twitter hack that caused limited access to the site and stole the identities of prominent people like Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk.  The hack posted messages directing victims to send Bitcoin to accounts associated with the teen.  According to the state attorney, the scheme netted more than $100,000 Bitcoin in just one day.

Clark is facing 30 felony charges in connection to the July 15 hack, including one count of organized fraud, 17 counts of communications fraud, one count of fraudulent use of personal information with over $100,000 or 30 more victims, 10 counts of fraudulent use of personal information, and one count of access to computer or electronic device without authority.
