Bernie Sanders has suspended his Democratic presidential campaign.
The Sanders campaign released a statement Wednesday morning saying Sanders announced the decision during an all-staff conference call. The Vermont senator had refused to back out of the race until now, despite Joe Biden‘s growing lead. Biden has already been considering running mates and downplayed the possibility of any future debates with Sanders.
