Reactions from some parents were a bit extreme when they discovered an employee in the Shelby County School System in Memphis, Tennessee is one of 70 people quaranteened after coming in contact with someone that tested positive for the coronavirus, COVID-19.
Parents were spraying their kids with disinfectant and even wrapping themselves in plastic grocery bags out of caution. The employee has been quarantined and the Shelby County Health Department insisted that the immediate risk to the general public is low and there is no expected risk to school-age children at this time.
