Joe Diffie Dead at 61 Due to Complications Related to COVID-19

Pure Country Superstar, Joe Diffie has died at the age of 61 due to complications related to the COVID-19 virus.

 
 

The country star had just publically announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus on Friday. Diffie had 5 #1 singles in the 1990s.  He’s known for hits like “Home,” “If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets),” “Third Rock From the Sun,” “Pickup Man,” and “Bigger Than the Beatles.” In all, Diffie charted 18 Top Ten singles, with the majority reaching the Top Five, including the 1993 radio staples “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)” and “John Deere Green.”
